We developed a new method to efficiently screen numerous chemicals for agents that target oncogene SALL4-expressing liver cancer cells. Our study revealed chemical inhibitors that selectively target a dependency of SALL4 cancer cells on oxidative phosphorylation, a major energy generating process in cells.
